Griffey murder inquest likely

THE Coroner is reportedly set to probe the death of Pakenham resident Michael Griffey.
Metropolitan news sources have reported that an inquest will be held into the well known businessman’s death almost six years after the discovery of his bludgeoned body in the garage of his family property on 29 December 2005.
His estranged wife, Diane, was charged with his murder in 2007, but the case was dropped before it went to trial.
The Gazette contacted the Coroners Court and case informant Detective Sergeant Marty Robertson to confirm the report, but they did not respond before the Gazette went to print.
