Rescuers dive in

A SCUBA diver was called in to hook up a crane to winch a four-wheel drive Mercedes Benz out of a lake at Officer on Thursday morning.
The underwater operation took four days as investigators searched for the submerged car.
Police believe a 42-year-old Narre Warren man was driving in an easterly direction on Princes Highway in Officer on Sunday 13 April, about 7.15pm, when his car left the road just past Timbertop Drive.
The driver was alone in the car and police believe he was lucky to have escaped without serious injury.
A witness nearby was screaming at him to get out of the car and he swam to safety.
He was taken to Dandenong Hospital.
Police are calling for witnesses to contact Leading Senior Constable Peter Henderson from the Cardinia Highway Patrol on 5945 2500.
