Highway Patrol hunt road pest

POLICE fear a serial road pest might seriously injure, or even kill, innocent road users if he is not pulled off the roads.
The motorcyclist, who police believe lives in Pakenham, is being pursued by Cardinia Highway Patrol after recklessly evading police on several occasions in the past few months.
Sergeant Rob Atkinson said the motorcyclist, who rides a 2012-’13 yellow Aprilia RSV4 with false Queensland registration plates, is known to have endangered the community on at least six occasions and needs to be identified.
“This person is putting all members of the community at risk with his dangerous and reckless disregard of the road laws,” Sergeant Atkinson said.
“Police want to ascertain the location of the motorcycle or the identity of the rider to stop him before he injures or kills an innocent member of the public or himself.”
According to police, the motorcyclist has evaded three booze buses in the past two months and been caught speeding at more than double the speed limit in areas such as Officer and Beaconsfield.
The burgundy inscribed motorcycle registration plate is 106-IU.
Anyone with information about the motorcyclist or the motorcycle itself is urged to contact Sgt Atkinson on 5945 2540.
