Kangaroos could face cull

By BEN CAMERON

AROUND 100 kangaroos could be culled from the Bayles Fauna Park if a solution to overpopulation at the site is not found soon.
Committee of management president Andrew Patterson said the committee had been issued a then Department of Environment and Primary Industries license to cull 50 kangaroos.
He said the site currently had between 150-160 kangaroos on a 25-acre site.
“We want a non-lethal method,” he said.
“We will have to cull 50 (if a solution is not found), and then there’s the possibility a similar amount would follow. There would still be too many.
“We need public assistance.“
