JUST when you think Pakenham and surrounds have become too suburban, it’s the little things that tell you there’s still a country pulse.
Pulling up to the Ballarto Kooweerup roads intersection last week, drivers were left to give way to cows about town as they crossed the road to get to some primo grazing land.
It’s probably a consistent recurrence, but in the fast-paced world it’s surprisingly peaceful to come to a halt and watch the cows stroll by.
