POKING his head into residents’ rooms, Kahlua the alpaca made his presence known as he clopped around Millhaven Lodge in Pakenham last week.
The 18-month-old alpaca, who is not shy in the slightest, strutted his way around the aged care facility – making sure each and every resident got a sight of him and his twisted, bronzed coat.
Kahlua, who made his special visit to Millhaven Lodge on Monday 6 July, is one of 80 alpacas kept on a farm in Nar Nar Goon.
Millhaven Lodge Activities co-ordinator Tracey Van Roy said he was one of the more unusual visitors to step foot inside the Pakenham facility.
“He loved cuddles and kisses. He was very affectionate and everyone loved him to bits,” she said.
