PREPS at three Pakenham Primary Schools marked their first 100 days at school with various celebrations this week.
Ninety-six foundation students at Pakenham Consolidated School triumphantly ran through a banner on Monday morning to celebrate the milestone.
The students’ Grade 6 buddies made and held the banner for the students to run through at the beginning of an assembly before they showed the school a demonstration of the Indonesion they have been learning, and facts about the sun from their ‘What’s in the Night Sky?’ integrated topic.
Looking the part in their specially made headbands, foundation students were treated to a special morning tea to congratulate them on the occasion.
On Tuesday 28 July, there were similar scenes at Pakenham Hills Primary School as the Preps began their day by attending a medal ceremony and then participated in a number of exciting activities based around the number 100, from building towers using 100 cups to painting 100 gumballs. Teacher Danielle O’Brien said the day was an “amazing celebration to see how far they have come since the beginning of the year”.
On Wednesday 29 July it was the Pakenham Spring Primary School’s turn, with parents invited to the school between 9am and 10am to join in the festivities. Preps have been putting up a balloon every day until the 100th, and will pop them today in celebration of the occasion.
