Seniors all set for tea

THE Pakenham Senior Citizen’s Club is having an afternoon tea with entertainment on Wednesday 9 September.
The group had the pleasure of welcoming new member Annmarie Skyes and welcoming back Nan Scott.
The club also wishes Betty Broderick, Bette Billing, Hautrie Crick and Ivy Meeds a very happy birthday.
The club will meet for lunch on Monday at 11.45am, followed by cards and bingo.
Members can choose between craft from 10am to 2pm or billiards at 10am on Tuesday while carpet bowls will be offered at 1pm on Wednesday and Saturday.
At 10am on Thursday, tai chi will be offered to all; new members are welcome.
Little tatts winners were Margaret Burgess, Glenys Pecek, Maureen Martin, Moira Toussaint, Sheila Wilcox, Alan Potter, Alan Dickinson, Mary Wall, Lesley Alkemade and Maria Juhasz.
The door prize went to Jill Kidd and Edie Robertson, and Gordon Purvis took home the raffle prize.
To all members who are not well, the club wishes you a speedy recovery and hope to see you again soon.
Attendance at the last meeting was 140.
