TRADITIONAL swing and jazz music is dancing its way into Warragul for a day full of rhythm and blues.
Local and city based bands will take to the ‘Jazz West Gippsland’ stage on Sunday 1 November.
The Melbourne-based Victorian Jazz Club will be performing along with the Drouin Men’s Shed, and Drouin’s Community Radio Station 3BBR FM will also be covering the event.
The non-stop day of jazz calls for some swing, jive and jazz dancing to the five bands, which will be playing different genres of the beloved brass band tunes for an hour each.
The gala event will be held at the Warragul Sporting and Social Club formerly the ‘Downtowner’.
Attendees will have the opportunity to hear improvisations of well-known traditional jazz tunes and unique festival songs. Tickets cost $25 for the full day and will be on sale shortly.
