POLICE are continuing to search for a Vietnamese man and woman over a recently detected large-scale cannabis operation in Pakenham.
Links to other Vietnamese-run cannabis crophouses are also being investigated following the Wednesday 9 September raid, which involved the seizure of more than 230 marijuana plants from a home at Gallery Way, Pakenham.
A 19-year-old Vietnamese woman was charged later that afternoon as she pulled her car into the driveway of the crop house.
The teen, Thi Tran, who was studying in Australia on a student visa, has been held in remand in custody until 1 December on cultivating drugs charges.
However, police are still searching for a Vietnamese man and woman in relation to the incident.
A number of other people have been interviewed in relation to the grow house, but have been eliminated from police inquiries, according to Pakenham police Senior Sergeant Graeme Stanley.
Police are investigating whether the crophouse has links to other Vietnamese-run cannabis operations in the Melbourne area.
Anyone with information about the incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
