Ballistics crime scene set up after aggravated burglary

A POLICE forensic team swept an Officer home after reports of gunshots following a suspected aggravated burglary last week.
About 7pm on Wednesday 30 September, police arrived at a home in Peppermint Row, Officer, following a suspected aggravated burglary involving a baseball bat.
Police investigating the incident refused to comment, however, unconfirmed reports indicate shots were fired at the premises, causing police to set up ballistics crime scene soon after.
A witness has told the Gazette police and State Emergency Service (SES) workers arrived at the scene about 7pm, covering the front door and driveway as they investigated the scene.
At least one police car remained at the scene overnight until detectives arrived the next morning.
It has been alleged the offender or offenders made requests for car keys while at the premises.
It is unclear if those involved forced entry into the home, or if it was unlocked at the time.
It is believed the victim, or at least one of the victims, was female.
