INCOME earners in Pakenham, Beaconsfield, Gembrook, Kooweerup and the rest of the Cardinia shire region are among those enjoying larger than average earnings.
Cardinia shire’s income median is also a few hundred dollars short of the rest of Victoria, according to Australian Bureau of Statistic’s latest income report released on Thursday 28 January.
Median income in Cardinia shire sits at $46,012, up on the national median income total of $44,940 based on figures in the ABS’s newly released Estimates of Personal Income 2012-13 report.
The average Victorian takes home a little more than workers in Cardinia shire, with a median statewide take-home income of $46,644.
