MEET Boss – one of Officer’s largest and most lovable dogs.
Weighing in at a whopping 50 kilograms, Boss, or Boston, the Bernese Mountain dog is a force to contend with.
The pup, just 18-months-old, lives with his loving owner Darren Powell, from Officer, who had only good things to say about his hairy friend.
“He has an extremely loving, loyal and affectionate personality … but with no concept of personal space or how big he actually is,” he said.
“I believe he may think he is a lap dog!”
Mr Powell said there was no doubt that Boston was his best mate, accompanying him almost everywhere, including work.
“Boss has also become the non-official club mascot for Voyage Fitness in Pakenham,” he said.
“I occasionally get to take him down to work with me where he will sit out the front and get greeted with an abundance of pats and neck rubs … unfortunately he doesn’t share the same love for exercise though.”
