TWENTY puppies and 10 dogs will be looking for ‘forever homes’ at an upcoming dog adoption day in Officer.
Satterley Property Group has partnered with animal shelter Pets Haven to host Adopt A Dog Day, to be held at its residential community, Arcadia.
The dogs will be at Arcadia from 11am until 3pm on Saturday 19 March, and will be adopted by the first ‘best home’ available.
Victorian general manager of Satterley Jack Hoffmann said dog owners were encouraged to come along with their animals and enjoy Arcadia’s dog park, as well as other activities planned for the day.
“As well as dogs hoping to find new homes, on the day there will be foodtrucks and family entertainment on offer at Arcadia – so we hope to see as many people as possible supporting this special day,” he said.
Animal specialists will be on hand to share their expertise, and families will be interviewed prior to adopting a dog to ensure the animal is suitable for their lifestyle and living arrangements.
All dogs available for adoption will come with two free puppy-training lessons and one month of pet insurance. They have all been temperament tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped, desexed, flea and worm treated and parvo-virus tested.
