CHAIRO Christian School’s Pakenham campus saw 300 grandparents and other loved ones go back to school at its recent Grandparents Day.
Family and friends of the students were treated to a variety of musical items by the pupils, a presentation from guest speaker Maureen Wood and morning tea.
The visitors were welcomed into the junior school classrooms, and spent time with their grandchildren.
Allan and Winnie Bailey were two of the attendees, and Mrs Bailey said she was delighted to be able to spend time with her great-grandchildren and witness the foundations the school was laying for the future.
“It was such a blessing to see Chairo as a fruitful part of the Lord’s vineyard. We are fully convinced that the love and dedication of the teachers and other staff members will be greatly rewarded,” Mrs Bailey said.
