Hoon duo faces the music

COPYCAT hoons in Pakenham felt the force of the law after being caught out by patrolling police.
Two P-plater mates had their cars impounded after they were observed driving recklessly in the centre of town.
Pakenham police spotted a silver Nissan Skyline about 11.30pm on Thursday 26 May as it drove along the Princes Highway and McGregor Road.
As it turned left from McGregor Road on to Main Street, the driver fishtailed and lost control of the vehicle.
Shortly after a Holden Commodore ute made the same turn and undertook the same manoeuvre.
Police intercepted both vehicles and interviewed the P-Plate male drivers, who were known to each other and travelling in convoy.
It worked out to be an expensive hoon ride for the pair who each had their cars impounded for 30 days at the cost of $972 each.
They were both also charged on summons with traffic offences.
Next up on police charges was a female driver who collided with a Pakenham gutter.
She gave a positive substance reading when pulled over by police, but found herself in more trouble than necessary when she refused to go down to the station for an evidentiary breath test.
Police intercepted the woman after observing her driving erratically on The Avenue in Pakenham just before 1.50am the next morning.
Her preliminary breath test returned a significant positive result.
Police said the driver was not keen on going back to the station with police for further breath testing and was subsequently charged on summons with a range of traffic offences including refusing to accompany police.
