FEAR not – the large mushroom-shaped cloud wafting over Pakenham on 31 May carries no threat to person, beast or property.
Pakenham Golf Club assures the Gazette that permits for their burn-off just after 8am have been granted by the CFA and Cardinia council.
The burn-off was set to dispose of a large pile of organic matter such as branches and leaves collected from the Oaktree Drive club.
A similar burn-off is expected to take place at the golf club next week.
