A TRESPASSER has halted City Loop trains on the Pakenham and Cranbourne line and commuters leaving the city have been advised to board trains from Flinders Street.
Police requested that nine Metro Train lines be stopped due to a police incident involving a man at Southern Cross Station about 2.30pm on Thursday afternoon.
Commuters travelling from a City Loop station are able to take a train from Platform One or Four through to Richmond to connect with services direct from Flinders Street.
A Metro Trains spokesperson said staff were working with police to get trains moving again as soon as possible.
Train users have been advised to listen out for announcements.
