A PAKENHAM motorcyclist was threatened by an armed man who made off with his prized V Star after another man pushed the rider to the ground.
The 30-year-old man had been riding his 2015 Yamaha V Star 650 motorbike in Pakenham about 10.30pm on Friday 24 June when the incident took place. Upon stopping at the intersection of Henry and Village roads, he was approached by a man on foot, who allegedly grabbed the throttle of the motorcycle to prevent the rider from taking off. He threatened the rider with an “unidentified object”.
A second man approached and pulled the rider from his bike, forcing him to the ground.
The armed man rode off on the bike and was last seen turning on to Cardinia Road towards the Princes Freeway.
The second man ran back to his car – believed to be a dark coloured Camry or Magna – and was last seen driving east along Henry Road.
Police are currently investigating the armed robbery and motorcycle theft incident, urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or to visit www.crimestoppersvic.com.au.
