Council tools burgled

THOUSANDS worth of ratepayer-funded tools were burgled from a council building in Emerald.
A Cardinia Shire Council-owned tool shed in Emerald Lake Park was forced open and tools valued at $5500 were stolen.
The burglary is thought to have taken place between 4.45pm on Saturday 23 July and 8am on Sunday 24 July.
Police said offender/s forced open the shed located near The Lion’s Den picnic shelter and took various power tools and gardening equipment.
A $400 chainsaw was among the tools stolen.
No one was sighted in the vicinity at the time.
