FINE dining is a sure thing in Beaconsfield, with Four Figs Restaurant and O.MY Restaurant the latest to take out a raft of major foodie awards.
It’s surprise to none that newcomer, Lakeside Mill in Pakenham, also topped the list at the awards event, highlighting culinary excellence in Victoria and Tasmania. O.MY Restaurant took out the title as Victoria’s Restaurant of the Year. It was also named the state’s overall winner for contemporary Australian restaurants for Regional Victoria and Tasmania.
Four Figs Restaurant took out the overall award as Victoria’s best for the Consumer Vote Award and was among a small handful of other eateries named the state’s best breakfast spot.
The awards were presented by Savour Australia Restaurant and Catering Hostplus Awards for Excellence for Victoria and Tasmania were made on 15 August at Melbourne Park Function Centre in Melbourne.
Lakeside Mill in Pakenham was also dubbed one of Victoria’s best places for breakfast and was acknowledged as one of the state’s best new restaurants.
Primary at Pioneers Park in Berwick was also commended for excellence on the cafe scene.
Finalists will now progress to the National Awards, held on Monday 24 October in Sydney.
