PAKENHAM police station was targetted by a lit Molotov cocktail in the early hours of Monday morning.
Police are searching for an unknown offender who threw the firebomb over the back fence from Flinders Chase at 12.55am on Monday 29 August.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Detective Sergeant Phil Jury overseeing the investigation said no damage was caused and no-one was hurt.
This has come five months after a similar incident on 11 March where the front entrance of the police station was hit by a Molotov cocktail, resulting in minor damage to its front doors.
“There is no evidence indicating that they could be related at this stage,” Det Sgt Jury said.
Senior Sergeant Graeme Stanley said reviews to the security of the station were ongoing.
Witnesses or anyone with information about the firebombing incident have been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
