Crash traffic chaos

PAKENHAM commuters driving home from the city can expect heavy traffic on the approach after a multiple-vehicle collision near the dangerous bend in Kooweerup Road.
Police reported that a four-wheel drive towing a trailer had been turned on its side on Kooweerup Road not far from the intersection of Soldiers Road, just before 5pm on Friday 9 September.
An eyewitness told the Gazette that she saw a white hatchback spun around on a 45-degree angle facing away from the road, appearing as though it had swerved onto the grass.
“It looked like it was a three-car collision,” she said.
“The back of the car was completely destroyed.“
All occupants of the four-wheel drive were assessed by paramedics and were found to have minor injuries. None were transported to hospital.
Traffic has banked back past McGregor Road on the Princes Freeway as a result of the incident.
