Music icons of the ’80s

Relive 1980s music at this year's Casey Cardinia Foundation Annual Charity Dinner on Friday 14 October.

REMEMBER the ’80s?
Bright colours, big hair and plenty of bling – shoulder pads for the girls and far too much corduroy for the boys!
OK, it probably wasn’t the best decade when it came to fashion, but it did produce some iconic Australian music.
Three stars of that era – Boom Crash Opera lead singer Dale Ryder, Sean Kelly from The Models and the Choirboys’ Mark Gables – headline this year’s Casey Cardinia Foundation Annual Charity Dinner.
They will rock it their Absolutely 80s Show at the Cardinia Cultural Centre on Friday 14 October, pumping out instantly recognisable tunes.
Boom Crash Opera is best known for its hits Onion Skin, which went to number eight on the US Billboard charts, and the catchy Dancing in the Storm.
Sean Kelly and the The Models were responsible for the hit Out of Mind, Out of Sight and the Choirboys had the unforgettable Aussie anthem Run to Paradise.
Money raised at the charity dinner helps the foundation in its support of worthwhile charities, projects and events across the wider Casey-Cardinia area.
The cost is $135 a ticket or $1350 a table of 10, which includes the show, local entertainment, drinks and a three course meal from locally grown produce.
