HOME security was a top concern for residents who turned out for a one-on-one with police working the beat in Pakenham and Officer.
Half a dozen police from uniform, pro-active and crime investigation units turned out to the region’s first Coffee with a Cop community consult held at Arena Shopping Centre on Thursday 20 October.
The majority of residents who took up a chair with police were elderly and wanted to speak on street crime, home invasions and property theft.
A free coffee and information brochures complimented residents’ sit-down chat with police.
Cardinia Crime Investigation Unit (CIU) Acting Detective Senior Sergeant Darron Hedge said police are looking to host their second session at Pakenham Marketplace Shopping Centre.
