A Pakenham man will appear in court over theft and deception charges after a credit card was allegedly stolen from a Snow Gum Court home earlier this month.
The 45-year-old was interviewed and remanded to appear at the Dandenong Magistrates’ Court over theft charges and allegedly attempting to obtain property by deception.
Investigators understand a man attempted to use the credit card to buy cigarettes at a petrol station on the Princes Highway, Drouin, about 6.30am on Saturday 7 January, two days after the card was reported missing.
The man had also been driving a blue Mazda sedan, allegedly stolen from Victoria Place, Pakenham, on the same day as the credit card theft.
