TWO people were trapped in a car at the Cardinia Road freeway on-ramp after colliding with a truck.
Six CFA fire trucks were called to the scene of the crash at the Cardinia Road on-bound ramp headed towards Warragul, about 12.40pm on Monday 30 January.
Police and paramedics rushed to the scene, with Pakenham SES and Nar Nar Goon CFA required to “cut the car” to rescue them.
A man believed to be aged in his sixties was transferred in a stable condition to The Alfred hospital with a back injury.
A woman, also in her sixties, was taken to Dandenong Hospital with a sore back and bruised wrist.
The male driver of the truck, believed to be in his twenties, was also sent to Dandenong Hospital.
The Cardinia Road off-ramp has been closed as well as the nearby left outbound lane of the Princes Freeway.
VicRoads advised that there would be short traffic delays, with heavy traffic in the immediate area.
It is expected that the road and lane will re-open before peak hour.
