It seems there’s a push down Gippsland way to launch a bid for the 2028 Olympic Games.
A detailed letter arrived in the mail from a Moe man outlining details of the bid, which proposes using venues like the Morwell Recreation Reserve, the Morwell Bowling Club, Traralgon’s ‘new pool’, Moe Racing Club, Hazelwood Pondage and the recently renovated Ted Summerton Reserve in Moe as venues.
The gentleman deserves a gold medal for ambition and initiative, but it’s probably fair to say the stamps on the envelope are the closest it will get to being an Olympic reality.
They are of 2016 Olympic Modern Pentathlon gold medalist Chloe Esposito.
