Six very worthy community organisations have received this year’s Cardinia Park Hotel Community Grants.
This is the second year the grants which total up to $45,000 have been awarded from the Cardinia Park Hotel Community Support Fund.
Cardinia Park Hotel owner Frank Deegan, who made the presentations, said he was proud to offer the grants to the local community.
“We are very happy to be able to put back into the community,” he said.
Mr Deegan said he was impressed with the diversity of the projects the successful applicants were undertaking for the good of the local community.
“They are all very deserving,” he said.
The recipients included Live Out Loud, an organisation which presents programs to local school students about the importance of developing resilience and respect for themselves and others.
Local action group Together We Can received a grant to support their work towards ending family violence in Cardinia.
St Francis Xavier Old Collegians Football Club received a grant for the upgrade of their clubrooms.
Akoonah Park Men’s Shed and Upper Beaconsfield Men’s Shed each received funding for resources to support their work with local men.
Beaconsfield Neighbourhood Centre also received money for resources to support some of their existing programs.
