A 34-year-old Pakenham man remains in a serious condition in The Alfred hospital after he was in collision with a vehicle on McGregor Road in Pakenham on the weekend.
The man was on foot at 2am on Sunday 14 May when police said it appeared that the southbound vehicle, driven by a 19-year-old from Pakenham, crossed from the other side of the road.
He failed to stop initially, but returned to the scene of the incident a short time later.
The driver is co-operating with police in the ongoing investigation.
