Student from Chairo Christian School’s Pakenham Campus will perform Mary Poppins the Broadway Musical at Cardinia Cultural Centre this weekend.
The school’s musical director Kim Thomsen said the school community was eagerly anticipating the show’s opening night.
“As the first company in the Cardinia Shire to stage this amazing production, it promises to be a memorable occasion for all,” he said.
“Cast members have been rehearsing diligently every weekend and are very excited about presenting this production to the community.”
The cast is drawn from students in Years 5 to 12 at the Pakenham Campus, with students involved in all areas of the performances and production.
The show will feature over 70 performers, a 20-piece orchestra playing some of the best-loved songs in Musical theatre.
The musical which is sure to delight Mary Poppins lovers of all ages will be staged on Friday 23 June, at 7pm, and Saturday 24 June, at 5pm.
