The average Cardinia Shire resident is a 34-year-old female who is married with one child, according to the 2016 census.
According to the data, released on 27 June, 79 per cent of people in Cardinia reside in a family household setting in a three-bedroom property owned with a mortgage and have two vehicles and internet access.
The median income for a sole Cardinia resident is $680 per week, slightly above the national average of $662.
And when it comes to matters of faith, 36.2 per cent of people in the shire do not identify as religious, by far the largest group.
