Chat to stop trouble brewing

Acting Sergeant Alisha Kershaw gets the run down on the street from Tressa Walsh and Marilyn Goldstraw at a previous coffee with a cop event in Cranbourne.

Pakenham police will sit down with local residents for an informal chat as part of the international initiative Coffee with a Cop.
On 26 July from 1pm to 3pm, Pakenham police officers will be at Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse at Arena Shopping Centre, Officer, where residents will be invited to sit down and share a cuppa with an officer while discussing any safety or law enforcement concerns they may have.
The program is designed to bridge the gap between the public and the police force through a meeting in an ‘‘informal, neutral space to discuss community issues, build relationships, and drink coffee’’.
All residents, whether they have a matter of concern or simply want to know their local law enforcement officers, are welcome to participate.
