Police have charged an Emerald man with criminal damage to a fire access gate in the Bunyip State Forest.
Police will allege the 26-year-old attempted to breach the gate with a vehicle, resulting in irreparable damage to the gate.
His vehicle was also significantly damaged, according to police.
The man was charged on summons to appear at court on a later date.
