Everything Patchwork and Quilting at Gembrook Committee members Glenise Gallagher and Michelle Van der Vlugt had the pleasure of handing a cheque for $4805 to Andrew Clark, Gembrook CFA Fire Captain at the brigade’s November meeting.
The value of the cheque is the total profit from the fourth Everything Patchwork and Quilting at Gembrook which was held on Saturday 2 September 2017.
“The event was a huge success with our biggest attendance of visitors and traders,” Everything Patchwork and Quilting Committee member Glenise Gallagher said.
“Support from local traders and businesses within the patchwork and quilting world was gratifying to the organisers and much appreciated by those attending.
“The good news is that the organising of the fifth Everything Patchwork and Quilting at Gembrook is already underway.
“The event will be at the Gembrook Community Centre on Saturday 1 September 2018.
“Again, all of the profit will be directed to the wonderful volunteers of the Gembrook CFA.”
Gembrook CFA Fire Captain Andrew Clark said the brigade “greatly appreciated” the ongoing support of Everything Patchwork and Quilting.
In recognition of their fundraising efforts, the brigade presented the ladies with a certificate of appreciation.
“These funds will help us buy equipment and keep going,” he said.
“This certificate is a token of our thanks for your generous donations to the Gembrook CFA.
“Your support and backing is absolutely invaluable and is very much appreciated by all of us at the CFA.”
