Calm, clinical, collected – EDFL gets the job done

CLUB allegiances were left behind as the EDFL’s senior interleague players climbed aboard the bus headed for Maryborough on Saturday morning with one mission, and one mission only – to win and continue their rise up the rankings.

But the EDFL’s coaching staff, too, had to be on the same page. From top to bottom, the staff of Aussie Jones, Travis Marsham, Brent Eastwell and Brad Walker was made up of either premiership coaches or captains at clubland. All of that would mean nothing though, if they couldn’t work together and present one, united front.

Ellinbank was 45 points up at half-time but had 18 scoring shots to eight on the board and still had plenty of work left to do to capitalise on their momentum. Take a look at the video, shot in the rooms at the main change on Saturday afternoon, for an insight as to how focussed the group was – both from a playing, and coaching sense.
