Casey Choir is looking for past members to help it celebrate its 21st birthday this year.

The Choir has two major events planned to mark the milestone.

The first, the Celebration in Song Concert, will be held at Bunjil Place Studio on Saturday 31st August. This will be immediately followed by a gala dinner, also at Bunjil Place, in the evening. Both events are open to the general public.

The Choir is hoping to locate past members to join them for part of the concert. Past members can contact the president, Tracey, on 0449 132 616 or the music director, Simon, on 0416 125 853 to find out how they can get involved.

Casey Choir is a community-based choir formed in 1998 as a four-part mixed choir, but changed to a female choir in 2005. The Choir is based in Berwick and draws members from most of the surrounding suburbs and as far away as Ferntree Gully and Bayles. It has grown to 55 members from a membership of around 20 just 10 years ago.

Other events are listed on the Choir’s website, www.caseychoir.com.au or on Casey Choir’s Facebook page.
