The 15th Bunyip Annual Quilt and Craft Show on Friday, Saturday and Sunday was a huge success with visitors coming from all parts of Gippsland to view the 70 plus quilts and crafts on display.

It had the atmosphere of great country hospitality with lots of friendly chatter between those revisiting the exhibition and those that were there for the first time who mingled with the regulars as if they had known each other for years.

There was the usual Devonshire Tea served, a place to sit, chat and enjoy the atmosphere. All this in a very professionally run exhibition as good as anywhere you’d find in the big smoke.

It was a real treat to see the very talented eleven year old Jessie Calnan from Garfield exhibit her quilt.

She is the youngest ever to enter a quilt in the exhibition.

Run by the Friends of Hillview, a dedicated group of people who raise money for Hillview Aged Care who have over the past 14 years raised over $200,000.

The Bunyip Men’s Shed chiped in with a Garage Sale and Rene Burns from the Independent Living Units works hard all year round making toys to sell.
