Casey Choir will be back in concert for the first time since 2018. The group is hosting its annual Sing into Spring Concert later this month. The choir has around 40 members and are renowned for their harmonies. The concert will have something for everyone, from pop to musical theatre to spirituals. Fairy Godmother Inc by Gemco Players

Gemco Players’ intermediate mid-year production is Fairy Godmothers Incorporated. The story is about the official workplace of the fairy godmothers, who take on teenage problems and offer creative solutions in teenage crisis situations. The Godmothers (and Father) are over worked and underpaid. Their good will eventually run dry and they decide to lead the teens towards taking responsibility for their own choices and to make things right on their own.

Winter Madness at the Cockatoo Country Market

Cold temperatures, rain, clouds and wind are getting you down this winter? Then put on your craziest, brightest, favourite garb and head on down to the market. Costume, dress up or just a crazy concoction from your cupboard…all welcome. We will have some fun prizes for those embracing the madness.

Cardinia Shire Farmers Evening

Are you a primary producer or commercial farmer based in Cardinia Shire? Grab the family and join us for a free evening event at the Pakenham Racing Club! We’ll be joined by keynote speaker former Australian cricketer, VFL player, cancer survivor and racing commentator Simon O’Donnell. The social evening will acknowledge the incredible work of our local primary producers, their families and staff. Commercial producers are encouraged to bring a sample of their non-perishable produce to display on the night. The event will be held at the Pakenham Racing Club in Tynong on Wednesday 10 August from 7pm.

Karaoke Night – Church Renovation Fundraising

St Patrick’s Parish Pakenham is hosting its first karaoke night. A fun night filled with music, entertainment, a karaoke competition, dancing, games, yummy food and drinks which can be purchased and much more. This is a fundraising initiative for the building of our new church.

Kids’ winter workshop – Rainbow streamers

Rainbow Streamers are a fun way to up-cycle toilet rolls! This week we will be making them together using streamers, coloured paper, crayons and pencils. Take them home and watch the wind flow through the streamers.

Pakenham Psychic and Wellbeing Expo

Inverloch Jazz Festival

It seems that jazz is alive and well, judged by the popularity of the Inverloch Jazz Festival, now in its 28th year. There will be crowd favourites including the wonderful singers Sarah Maclaine, Anita Harris and Pippa Wilson, great saxophonists Ron Anderson and Roger Clarke, and pianists such as Rory Clarke and Neil Taylor.

Music Trivia night

Casey-Cardinia Rotaract Club is proud to be hosting a Music Trivia Night on Saturday 3 September to raise money for End Trachoma. It’s a battle of the bands as you try to top the trivia charts so gather your bandmates and join in the fun!

The venue we will be rocking out to is Beaconsfield Community Complex Hall. Doors open at 7pm so we can kick off at 7.30pm. Make sure to get your tickets for the hottest event of the year.

Tickets are $20 each or $150 to reserve your own table for you and 9 of your groupies for a max of 10.
