Officer Savages Seagulls

THE new year started with a good fielding effort against Tooradin when Officer dismissed Tooradin for 189 in 78 overs.
Dan Savage with 4/24 was the best of the bowlers and was well supported by skipper Jarrod Goodes who finished with 3/37. Brett Davis 1/14, Shane White 1/24 and Clint Scott 1/28 were the other wicket takers. Mick Torney with 0/8 off eight overs was also accurate.

Officer batted all day to make 8/315 with the highlight a sensational 195 not out from Kevin Quinn with 18 fours and four sixes, including three in one over. It was Kevin’s maiden senior century and in hot conditions was a fantastic performance as he batted for 65 overs.
Brent Pullen with 40 also batted well with three boundaries in one over. Tony Smith (22) and Glen Longmuir (12) were the other contributors on a day that belonged to Kevin Quinn, who held the inning together after his side slumped to 2/2.
