A 14-year-old boy suffered chest injuries when he was kicked by a horse at the Lang Lang Show on Sunday afternoon.
The Lang Lang Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), advanced life support paramedics and intensive care paramedics were called to the Lang Lang showground at 2.30pm after the boy, who was patting the horse, was kicked.
“‘The horse struck him on the chest, causing bruising and swelling,” Intensive care paramedic Ian Hughes said.
“The ambulance helicopter landed at a nearby school and we loaded the teenager into the helicopter.
‘He was flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.”
