Kooweerup looking up

KOOWEERUP residents are invited to a workshop next week to discuss how their town can be improved.
The Kooweerup Township Strategy is being reviewed and input is needed from residents in areas such as housing, environment, open space, recreation, heritage, transport and infrastructure, community feel and services, and business and the economy.
Port Ward councillor Stuart Halligan said it would be an opportunity for residents to contribute to the township’s development.
“The Kooweerup Township Strategy is a strategic planning document that will direct the future development of Kooweerup over the next 10 to 15 years,” Cr Halligan said.
“I encourage local residents to get along to the workshop and share their ideas.”
The workshop will be held on Wednesday 10 February from 7pm (registration) for a 7.15pm start.
The workshop is open to all community members and will be held at the Kooweerup Community Centre, 247 Rossiter Road, Kooweerup.
Tea, coffee and nibbles will be served.
