TOORADIN won the toss and batted against Catani at home in Premier Division. After losing two early wickets, Brenton Adams (24) and Aaron Avery (17) consolidated to see the Seagulls 4/73.
Ash Adams – after being dropped on nine – went onto make 68 with four sixes and three fours. When he departed at 5/130 in the 36th over, Tooradin failed to get past 164 in the 45th over. Ben Mantel played a good supporting role to make 47.
Catani had a reprieve when Brad McDonald was dropped on zero with the second ball of their innings. They had a 41-run opening partnership and scored quickly to be 2/96 after 23 overs.
Lionel Sexton was also given a chance and they made Tooradin pay for the dropped catches as they ended at 2/167 in 35 overs to win.

Tooradin played Pakenham at Rutter Park and were narrowly beaten by three runs in an exciting game.
Batting first Pakenham scored quickly to make 3/205 from their 40 overs. There were no multiple wicket-takers for Tooradin.

Tooradin was defeated by Cardinia Red by 43 runs on the first innings.
In reply to Tooradin’s 9/81, Cardinia ended at 8/124.
Tooradin’s opening bowlers started well with Mitch Dawkins getting a caught-and-bowled in his third over. After 15 overs, Tooradin had them 1/29. A few dropped catches didn’t help our situation as Cardinia eventually passed us with four wickets down.
Best of the bowlers was Tim Lenders with 1/6 from six overs (four maidens) because of his consistent length and accuracy. Troy Seebeck took 3/4 to follow up his wickets last match. Again the boys bowled too many wides and no-balls.

Tooradin scored 9/114 in reply to Kooweerup’s score of 144. Tooradin lost one opener early but then had a 33-run partnership between Rohan Simpson (18) and Luke Adams (17). Tooradin had two costly run-outs and the best partnership was between Bailey Webb (13 not out) and Nathan Senior (10 not out) which yielded 39 runs for the last wicket. Unfortunately Tooradin’s middle order batsmen couldn’t get a start in chasing down the large Kooweerup score.
