The Pakenham CFA Junior Running Team is celebrating several recent successes.PAKENHAM CFA Junior Running Team won the Under 14 championship, Under 17 championship and the grand aggregate at the Flinders 2010 Championships in Hallam on Saturday.
The outstanding result came just days after the team had similar success at the Eastern District Championships in Traralgon.
At the Traralgon championships on 30 January the Pakenham team won also won the Under 14 championships, Under 17 championships and the grand aggregate. Matt Wilson was also the recipient of the Maurie Johnson award for sportsmanship.
Last November runners, parents and coaches flew to Perth for the Western Australian State Championships in Fremantle. Matt Wilson won Champion Firefighter Award for his success in individual events as well as breaking a 24-year record. The team placed third overall.
The next event for the team is the Victorian State Championships on 20 and 21 February.
