THE countdown to the Berwick and District Agricultural Show is almost complete.
The show, now in its 162nd year, will return to Akoonah Park this weekend with a jam-packed schedule sure to please both competitors and punters.
Entertainment drawcards include skydivers, FMX motorbikes, Monster Trucks and musicians.
Other special attractions include children’s entertainers The Kazoos and Humphrey B Bear, the Beaut Utes competition, Gumboot Throw and Woodchop.
The show boasts the largest showing of cattle outside of Melbourne and sheep, alpacas, horses, goats and dogs will also compete for a bounty of prizes on Saturday. Saturday night will be topped off with a major fireworks display.
A free shuttle bus will collect show-goers every 20 minutes from stops at the Berwick Leisure Centre, Beaconsfield Railway Station, and north side and south side in Berwick Village.
Many village traders will extend their trading hours over the weekend to lure the show crowd.
Two Melbourne Football Clubfootballers will sign autographs at 1.30pm on Sunday
