Revamped track is race ready

THE almost $2 million overhaul of Warragul’s Logan Park Greyhound Racetrack is about to come to fruition.
Greyhound racing closed at the complex late September and is due to recommence this week.
Under the project the circumference of the track was extended to allow racing to be conducted over 400, 465 and 680 metres.
The State Government provided $1.3 million of the $1.9 overhaul.
Greyhound Racing Victoria has installed a water irrigation system for more efficient track watering that maximises stormwater harvesting and recycling opportunities.
Greyhounds will go round in trials this Wednesday from midday, and then Monday to Friday from 9am. But there will be no trails from 27 February until 10 March when a picnic night meeting will be staged.
TAB greyhound racing commences at Warragul with a Monday morning feature on 15 March, and the official opening meeting the following Tuesday evening.
