Young Eagles fly high

AN excellent bowling attack gave the under-17 Eagles victory against Kilcunda-Bass at the weekend.
The Eagles defended 145 from last week, dismissing the KB combine for 74.
Nathan Dooley took 3/9 off seven great overs and Will Haines 3/1 off 25 balls.
Having another bat the boys were 1/59 at stumps with Dylan Guinane 47 not out.
The under-17 Tigers had a week off due to a shortage of opposition players.

The Tigers played Cardinia Red and were trying to defend 100, but the opposition was too strong making a big score 0/200.
Aaron Clarke bowled two overs for only six runs and Zac Buckland bowled six overs for 14 runs.
The Blitz played Officer and tried to defend 148, but was outclassed.
Officer made 8/200 with Lucas Sheehan 3/35, Cameron Dickins 1/20, Joseph West 1/23, Harry Money 1/13 and Brett Monagle 1/21.
The Eagles played Gembrook and were chasing 55 and were way too strong making 7/230.
Sam Eurell made 40 not-out, Tom Glen 40 not-out, Dylan Triffitt 36 and Luke McBride 38 not-out.

The Tigers played Tooradin and were defending 130.
They won a tight game, dismissing Tooradin for 119 with Jaxon Dooley 3/7 off five overs and he also had a direct-hit run-out. Lachie Laird took 1/11 off six overs, Nick Duffy 1/17 and Jai White 1/19.
The Blitz played NNG blue and was chasing 147, but was all out 62.
Mitch Hayes was the standout with 23, Zac Butler and Arjun Ravi chipped in with four each.

The Eagles played Officer Green and were chasing 85 and were way too strong making 7/ 297.
Kyle O’Sullivan was 45 not-out, Lachie Modica 41 not-out, Toby Weinzierl 41, Jack Sharlassian 30 not-out and Matt Spargo 30.
