Juniors show how it’s done

BEACONSFIELD juniors played their last round of the season, with highlights of Brett Monagle making 75 and Will Haines 58 following on from his six wickets last week.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 17

The under-17 Eagles were playing Cardinia and were chasing 137 and did well making 187 all out, with Will Haines 58, Jordan Andrews 27 and Nathan Dooley 21.
The under–17 Tigers played Upper Beaconsfield and were chasing 80 but fell short being all out 60 with Mitch Johnson 22. Having another bowl the Tigers captured 9/79 by stumps with Dan Cousins 3/7, Jackson Parker 2/4, Nick Macente 1/5 and Ash Gough 1/5.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 15

The under-15 Blitz played Upper Beaconsfield and were chasing 144 but just fell short being all out 115, with Nick Hillard 31 not out, Brett Monagle 13 and Harry Money 10.
The under-15 Eagles played Emerald Redbacks and were trying to defend 143 but were over powered by Emerald who made 212 all out, with Alistair Murphy 2/15, Dylan Triffitt 2/23, Sam Eurell 1/9, Angus Bunnell 2/16 and Sam Flight 2/18.

@BT Sub Sport Gaz:UNDER 13

The under-13 Blitz played Officer in a one-day game and batted first but were all out 31. With the ball the Blitz captured 6/103 with Christian Meade 2/9, Arjun Ravi 1/11, Robert McMillian 1/9 and Zac Butler 1/16. Having another bat the boys faired better being 2/44 at stumps with Mitch Hayes 21 not out, Dan Coinu 8 not out and Scott Triffitt 8.
The under-13 Eagles played PUT and made 123 last week and lost in a nail-biter as PUT were all out 125. The best with the ball were Kyle O’Sullivan 2/6, Tom Glen 2/8, Dermott Yawney 1/11, Emmett Yawney 1/6, Toby Weinzierl 1/6 and Jackson Thomas 1/2.
The under-13 Tigers played Devon Meadows and were chasing 71 and did it in style being all out 171, with Brett Monagle’s 75 the best under-13 score for a while and Brad Jensen 21 not out.
