JANUARY and February being the best months for King George Whiting fishing, Pakenham Angling Club held its outing and competition once again on Western Port out from Tooradin last month.
Jos Schreurs proved again to be the master whiting angler, catching 18 beautiful King George and scooping the pool with heaviest, second heaviest and secret weight.
This was a fitting reward for the time he puts into fishing and his knowledge of Western Port.
The next meeting of Pakenham Angling Club will be held at the Pakenham Senior Citizens’ Clubrooms, 7.30pm on Wednesday, 17 March. All interested anglers are welcome to come along.
