Warragul to welcome Catholic HQ

WARRAGUL will soon welcome the Catholic Diocese of Sale to town when its administrative headquarters moves in.
However, while the headquarters will move to Warragul, the cathedral will remain in Sale.
The move will consolidate staff in the one office closer to its constituents.
Bishop Christopher Prowse will also move his principal residence to Warragul, but St Mary’s Cathedral will be retained as the liturgical centre.
Bishop Prowse said the main intention of the move was to consolidate staff on one site, co-locating with the Catholic Education Office that occupied the former Sion College site in Warragul.
The move is expected to take place over the next 12 months.
